Indoor Bowls Club

Our club was founded in 1986 and has been playing from the 1st Wednesday in September to the last Wednesday in April ever since, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. For those who are not familiar with the game, Carpet Bowls is a scaled down version of Lawn Bowls, played on a 30ft long mat with 4inch biased bowls.

Helpston Carpet Bowls Club has a thriving membership. It is a member of the North Cambs. Indoor Carpet Bowls Association and maintains a team in their League, currently in the 1st division. We meet on Wednesday evenings at Helpston Village Hall to play either home league matches, or “club nights” when anyone is welcome to come along and, for a very modest fee, have a go. Anyone can play, no matter your age or physical ability.

If you would like a good evening out among friends with the element of gentle competition, why not come along and give it a try? During our season you will find a list of “club nights” on the notice board in the Village Hall.

Or ring Stephen Jackson 01733 252326 for further information.
