Helpston Women’s Institute

Helpston Women’s Institute was formed in 1934 and is open to all women from the age of 18.

We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.  Our WI is an excellent way of making new friends and getting involved in village life and wider issues.

Throughout the year there is a wide variety of talks, activities and visits which are designed to appeal to a wide range of interests. We have a  Knit and Natter group who meet fortnightly  and a walking group  every Thursday.  Go to the calendar of events to see our 2018 programme and  activities.

We are a happy, friendly, active WI and we always welcome new visitors and members.  So, why not give it a go, try us out for 2 months (a small fee of £3.50) and thereafter, if you are happy, we look forward to you joining us as a full member.

Good Morning.
Care-network is a small charitable organisation, that was established in Cambridgeshire over 30 years ago by a vicars wife, to support vulnerable people who might of been discharge from hospital, suffering an illness or, just feeling isolated. This is a FREE short term service to anyone over the age of 18. We are now replicating this service in all of Peterborough unitary areas and we are looking for volunteers in these areas. I am hoping that you could share this information with your members, in a hope that someone might have a spare hour per week to volunteer for us. I can provide posters and leaflets relating to the role and our services, if I can have an address to send to.
Many thanks
Lesley
